Danville, VT – Northern Counties Health Care (NCHC) announces the re-opening of the Danville Health Center on November 7th following a complete remodel and a 1,600 square foot expansion.
The renovated and expanded space is welcoming, comfortable, and updated for patients, featuring artwork from Timothy Kirchoff, a local photographer. The re-designed check-in/check-out area includes separation from the waiting area to improve patient privacy. Two new exam rooms and additional patient care spaces will help increase access to care and improve the patient experience. There is also a new space for consulting with care teams or for meeting with a care coordinator or community health worker.
The project has created an environment that makes it easier and more efficient for staff to work together and also enhances safety. In addition, there are improvements to the overall energy efficiency of the health center with new lighting, insulation, and HVAC system.
“The redesign helps our team better care for patients today while allowing for flexibility in how we use the space in the future,” said Dan Sherman, NCHC’s Director of Primary Care. “One of our main goals for this renovation was to create a space to serve the Danville community for years to come.”

The Danville Health Center has been a part of the Danville community since 1977, operating in the current location since 1989. This is the 2nd expansion at this location.
The project began in early June 2022. Throughout the renovation, patients of Danville Health Center were seen on the 2nd floor of the St. Johnsbury Community Health Center building on Sherman Drive in St. Johnsbury.

The Danville Health Center is located at 26 Cedar Lane in Danville, VT and is a Patient Centered Medical Home and Federally Qualified Health Center.
