Northern Counties Health Care (NCHC) is pleased to welcome Amy Davis, Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to the organization. She cares for patients at the St. Johnsbury Community Health Center located at 185 Sherman Drive in St. Johnsbury.
“Amy brings a passion for holistic care and proven primary care experience to our team,” said Dan Sherman, NCHC’s Director of Primary Care. “We are thrilled to have her on our team, working collaboratively with patients to build trusting and caring relationships that improve overall health.”
Amy is originally from Gorham, New Hampshire and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Salisbury University in 2004, where she gained experience around the country as an RN in neonatal intensive care, pediatric, family, and infertility specialties. In 2014, Amy attained her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Montana State University. She has worked as a FNP in Oregon, Montana, Wyoming, New Hampshire, and now in Vermont.
Prior to starting in health care, she received a degree in Zoology and Environmental Studies. Her work experience included being a wildlife researcher in Colorado, Montana, and New Hampshire, and fighting wildland fires out West with the Forest Service.
“As a Family Nurse Practitioner, I have chosen to specialize in care for patients of all ages. It is a challenging and rewarding profession that I enjoy practicing daily,” said Amy Davis, FNP. “St. Johnsbury Community Health Center does an amazing job of caring for a broad spectrum of patient needs. It is obvious that the clinical and behavioral health teams work hard and care deeply for their patients. I’m happy to be a part of the team!”
In her free time, Amy enjoys the outdoors—hiking, river hopping, bird watching, kayaking, and playing at parks with her children.
Amy is now accepting new patients. Appointments can be made by calling the St. Johnsbury Community Health Center at (802) 748-5041.
