Dr. Bisson was born on a dairy farm in Plainfield, VT. She received her BA from University of Vermont and her medical degree from University of Vermont College of Medicine where she was honored with The Lang Medical Publications Award for Outstanding Achievement as a Medical Student. Dr. Bisson then served her Internship and Residency at Waukesha Family Practice in Waukesha, WI (affiliate of Medical College of Wisconsin) and was awarded Excellence in Research in Residency. She has three adult children and spends her free time outdoors, playing with her dogs.
