What would you like to tell us about your profession?
I am a Northern Vermont University/Lyndon graduate, Class of 2021. I graduated with double bachelor’s degrees in Global Studies and Criminal Justice. I am in the process of reading for the law. I am a Guardian ad Litem for the State of Vermont. I am the co-founder of The REVoluiton, a grassroots anti-bullying organization here in the Northeast Kingdom. In this capacity, I have facilitated bringing together 11 different schools and over 800 students for a 2-day empowerment presentation given by nationally renowned Sweethearts and Heroes. I am honored to be listed in the Who’s Who in America for the 2024 edition.
Why did you decide to serve on our Board of Directors?
I am passionate about being involved in my community and giving back in any way that I can. I believe that this will be an excellent opportunity to do just that. I also serve on the Board of Directors for the Community Restorative Justice Center. Both of these roles allow me to become more aware of, and hopefully productive in, my community.
What interests or hobbies do you have?
I am very interested in learning new things and always open to new experiences. I am pursuing law as a way to be a voice for those who may not otherwise be heard. I am passionate about my work with the children that I advocate for both through my work as a GAL and through The REVolution. I feel that I can make a difference in some small way.
What are you most excited to learn about through NCHC Board service?
I am looking forward to learning how the organization is structured and how the vision of the future for it will be achieved. I enjoy watching how all the different areas of the organization come together to make the shared vision happen. The progress towards the common goal, that being the best outcome and care for those that we serve, always amazes me.
