Vermont Business Magazine is proud to announce the winners of its Rising Stars recognition award. The list is comprised of 40 winners under the age of 40. Award recipients were selected by a panel of judges for their commitment to business growth, professional excellence and involvement in their communities. NCHC’s licensed dietitian Alicia Armstrong RDN LD has been named a 2019 Rising Star.
“Alicia’s work to improve the health and well-being of the Northeast Kingdom extends far beyond her full time position at NCHC where she has been hired to develop and lead an innovative, comprehensive, and sustainable diabetes and nutrition program. Alicia loves teaching and radiates positivity in all her interactions with staff, patients, and community partners. Additionally, Alicia serves on the NEK Prosper! Financially Healthy Collaborative Action Network and as the President for the NH Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. I could continue to list Alicia’s many achievements and examples of service. I honestly cannot think of a more deserving “rising star,” said Kari White, NCHC’s Director of Quality Initiatives and Compliance/Privacy Officer.
“We are thrilled by the response to this initiative to recognize these up-and-coming leaders, this is our tenth year” said VBM Publisher John Boutin. “We received over 240 outstanding nominations this year. The five judges had a difficult time picking the top 40. These young professionals have chosen to make Vermont home. For these young professionals it’s not just about business. It’s about them making a difference in their communities,” Boutin said.
Vermont Business Magazine will honor Vermont’s most accomplished young leaders at the Rising Stars dinner on November 7th. The dinner will be held at the Delta Hotel in South Burlington. The honorees will also be featured in the November issue of Vermont Business Magazine.
