Jeri was born in Los Angeles, California and received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz in Biology and Psychology. Before embarking on a career in nursing, she tried her hand at a variety of different jobs, including lifeguarding, running a trail crew for the California state parks, and teaching middle school science. She then moved to the east coast to pursue a Bachelors in Nursing at Johns Hopkins, and finished her training at the University of Vermont where she worked as a cardiac nurse and received her Family Nurse Practitioner certification. She spent time traveling the world, with extended stays in India and New Zealand. Her personal interests include caring for entire families, pediatrics, addiction medicine, the impact of adverse childhood experiences, and paving the way for behavioral change. She lives in the Northeast Kingdom with her husband and three sons. In her free time she enjoys running, cross country skiing, yoga, gardening, wildcrafting, cooking and spending time with her family.
