After volunteering at the student sexual assault crisis center, she turned her focus towards a Master in Social Work at McGill University. Claudia then moved to Northern Vermont to work in community mental health for several years with individuals living with persistent and acute mental health. More recently, she has worked as an integrated social worker at Planned Parenthood of Northern New England offering support navigating resources and short-term counseling. Her passion is Dialectical Behavior Therapy – an approach that believes in each person’s wisdom, provides concrete tools to manage intense emotions and works towards building
a life worth living.
