What would you like to tell us about your profession?
I’ve been a registered nurse for over forty years. My passion has always been health education. I enjoy working with people at all stages of life. I’m in my 9th year as the School Nurse for Miller’s Run School, and recently became the Lead Nurse/COVID Coordinator for Kingdom East School District. I have the honor of serving as president of the Vermont State School Nurses’ Association and I also serve on the School Nurse Advisory Council at VT Department of Health.
Why did you decide to serve on our Board of Directors?
I believe everyone has a duty to give back to their community. As a VT school nurse, I have interacted with different parts of NCHC and I am honored to support the great work of this organization by serving on the Board of Directors.
What interests or hobbies do you have?
I enjoy sewing, as well as biking, hiking, reading, and playing board games with my family.
What advice would you give prospective Board Members?
I would recommend that prospective members stop, look, listen, and ask questions to clarify understanding.
