What would you like to tell us about your profession?
As a registered nurse for over four decades, I have had the privilege of working with people of all ages at various stages of health. I am currently a school nurse in Waterbury, VT. I am an active member of the Vermont State School Nurses Association and am currently the Director to the National Association of School Nurses for Vermont. I encourage other nurses to continue their education through acquiring advanced degrees and guiding other nurses to succeed.
Why did you decide to serve on our Board of Directors?
I believe everyone has a duty to give back to their community. As a VT school nurse, I have interacted with different parts of NCHC and I am honored to support the great work of this organization by serving on the Board of Directors.
What interests or hobbies do you have?
I enjoy sewing, as well as biking, hiking, reading, and playing board games with my family.
What advice would you give prospective Board Members?
I would recommend that prospective members stop, look, listen, and ask questions to clarify understanding.
