Shawn Waldron was born in Connecticut and moved to Vermont at age 6. He joined the Air Force in 1982, working for 9 years as an Avionics Technician on B-52 Bombers. The last 17 years of his service was as a Special Agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations. Before retiring in 2007, he obtained a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. Returning to Vermont, he began his counseling career at the King George School, a residential therapeutic high school. In 2010 he moved to Northeast Kingdom Human Services (NKHS), where he served in many roles: Children’s Access Therapist (Emergency), School Services Supervisor, MAT Clinician, and FQHC Program Clinician. In 2016 he opened Riverbend Counseling Services. Shawn is a Nationally Certified Counselor, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and Master Addictions Counselor. He has pursued extensive additional training in treating trauma.His techniques include CBT, SFT, and Clinical Hypnosis.
