NCHC dental centers provide high quality, state of the art family
dentistry at an affordable cost to the residents of Vermont's Northeast
Kingdom. Our primary mission is to promote good oral health. Our teams
of highly qualified dental professionals work with our patients to
provide services based on need not ability to pay. They provide comprehensive
clinical care, prevention services, and outreach programs to schools.
The Dental Centers offer a Sliding Scale Program.
This is offered to patients who meet income guidelines as set each
year by the Federal Government, and who live in one of the towns in
our service area. Eligibility is based on income, and family size.
The program is offered to make dental care more available for those
who need assistance. If you would like more information on the Sliding
Scale Program, please ask the Practice Manager at the dental sites
for qualification guidelines.
IMPORTANCE OF REGULAR CARE
Routine dental care will help prevent gum disease and cavities. Despite
your best efforts to have good oral hygiene, only regular cleanings
will remove all plaque and tartar from your teeth. Regular visits
will detect any disease (decay or other) at an early stage when treatment
is easier and less expensive. When you have good oral health, you
feel better, you look better, you eat better, your breath smells better,
your self-esteem improves, and you prevent mouth infections.
Payment options
NCHC will directly bill many dental insurance companies. In addition,
through our sliding scale program we offer reduced fees for those
who meet income guidelines, and we offer a discount for those who
pay at time of service. Major credit cards are accepted.
No Show Policy
Patients who do not show up for appointments and do not call in advance
to cancel or reschedule may lose their right to make advance appointments.
The Island Pond Dental Center is housed within and is part of the
Island Pond Health Center, which was established in 1977. Our state-of-the-art
dental center is part of a unique health center that consists of 3
different sources of healthcare under one roof - a medical office
with 2 physicians and a physician assistant, a dental office with
1 dentist and 2 hygienists and a dispensary where we dispense a number
of medicines for our patients so they do not have to travel. Our health
center is very proud of the effort and teamwork that is put into serving
our surrounding communities health care needs.
We are located on Middle Street, just off of Maple Street, which is
the first right, up and over the railroad tracks, as your heading
west out of the center of Island Pond town on route 114.
